Chipped transponder key cutting and programming:

• Most vehicles manufactured after 1995 are fitted with a built in immobiliser device which is split in two parts. One part is fitted in behind the dash known as the receiver and the other part is in the head of the key which is known as the transmitter. The transmitter in the key sends a signal to the receiver in the dash and allows the car to start.
